What are your office hours?
Office hours are 9-5 M-F and 12-3 Sat.  However, you will have direct contact numbers for your sitters so that you can contact them any time you'd like while they are sitting for your pets.

We ask that all scheduling be done through the office and although we have set ours, due to the nature of our business, please be aware that there are times when we will be out in the field.  There are also times when we work after hours but office hours are set to serve as a general guideline.

What criteria must Professional Pet Sitters meet to sit for Ali's Angels?
Ali's Angels Professional Pet Sitters must have prior experience working in the field of pet sitting, knowledge on animal health and behavior and a true gift and knowledge for working with animals of all kinds.

Additionally, every sitter working with Ali's Angels completes two interviews, reference checks and a complete background check.

What happens at the Initial Consult?
Your primary pet sitter will meet with you and your pets, review paper work, walk through your pet's routine and pick up 3 keys.

Why is there a new client set up fee?
Setting up a new client requires a time commitment from Ali's Angels staff of 3-5 hours total and is a 3 step process.

1.  We will take your information by phone and set up a consult time.

2.  Your primary sitter will meet with you at the consult, review paperwork and pick up keys.

3.  Your information is then transferred into our secure data and scheduling system to ensure accuracy in updates and communication.

Your service is scheduled and you are all set for future sits.

Who will be my pet's sitter and when do I meet them?
Before your initial consult, a phone intake coordinator will discuss with you, in detail, your pet's needs.

Then, based on your location and the needs of your pets you will be assigned a primary sitter who will make most of your pet's visits. You will meet your primary sitter, in person, at the initial consult.

We also assign a back up sitter for each client so that we can have consistent availability, even if your primary sitter is booked for part of your assignment or has time off when you need service.

Our Professional Pet Sitters remain in contact with the Owner or Staffing Coordinator, throughout each assignment.

Why did you decide to have Associate Sitters?
After several years of working as a sole provider, there developed a concern about decrease in quality of care due to burn out consistent with work hours that are 24/7;  most every day of the year.

Since working with Associate Sitters, we have been able to better focus our full attention on each sit with more energy and zest than we were capable of with out team members.

Additionally, having Associate Sitters helps us to ensure that we are available to sit for our clients on a more consistent basis than sole providers.

Hooray for sitters!

I’ve never had a pet sitter before and/or am unsure of how my pets will react to a sitter coming into my house?
Our pet sitters have extensive experience in gauging animals reactions to a new sitter.

If at any time of the new client set up process, any of our team members feel that a pet needs more time to feel comfortable with having a sitter, or that they may react differently to sitters while you are not home, we will schedule a "try out" visit for your pets, while you are still home at no charge.

How soon do I need to schedule service?
New Clients should schedule their consult at least 7 days in advance and existing clients should request service 72 hours in advance.

We strive to accomodate late notice services, but can not guarantee availability.

For holiday services, reserve services as soon as possible.  Two months in advance is ideal.

How is payment handled?
We ask that payment is received before beginning services.  Your payment confirms your service with us and puts it into a start queu in our scheduling system.

We will send a service confirmation/ invoice via e-mail with a link to click for payment a few days before service is to start.

If you prefer to mail a check, it can be sent to the mailing address at the top of each web page.

Ongoing daily dog walks, off-leash hikes, and dog park trips are billed in advance, monthly or  2 week increments.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please review our cancellation policy, located in FAQ's about rates and at the bottom of the "Services and Rates" page.

Is there a holiday surcharge?
There is a rate increase of 25%  for service on the following major holidays:

Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, ChristmasEve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day

This rate increase applies only to services on these days and not the entire assignment.
