How are rates set for Ali's Angels services
and how do they compare to other service providers?
We set rates by time, not the number of animals or medications given.
Our rates are less expensive than other pet sitting services with the same credentials and we offer more services, conveniencies, and credentials.
Rates are comparable to individuals who offer services "on the side", who are not insured and bonded, and who can't always be available when you need them.
We provide services in your home so you only pay for the sits we make. There is no late pick up fee and no need to pay for an additional day due to inability to pick up your pet.
Our holiday surcharges are often less than other pet care companies.
We are committed to providing affordable pet care.
Why is there a new client set up fee?
Setting up a new client requires a time commitment from Ali's Angels staff of 3-5 hours total and is a 3 step process.
1. We will take your information by phone and set up a consult time.
2. Your primary sitter will meet with you at the consult, review paperwork and pick up keys.
3. Your information is then transferred into our secure data and scheduling system to ensure accuracy in updates and communication.
Your service is scheduled and you are all set for future sits.
Why is there an extra charge for "time specific" visits, such as dogs with out dog doors and some time specific meds?
Visits that require very specific times like dogs without dog doors and pets on certain medications require visits that are spaced 12 hours apart.
We charge a little more for these because they are less flexible in scheduling and can often run over in time.
Is there a charge if keys aren't ready at the Initial Consult?
As long as we have one key, we can make extras for $5 each key.
We prefer to keep keys “on file” so we have them ready when you need us.
For liability reasons and the safety of your pets and home we are unable to accept “hide-a-key” arrangements or garage codes only.
Is there a holiday surcharge?
There is a rate increase of 25% for sits that fall on a major holiday. These holidays are:
Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day.
What is your cancellation policy?
Regular Visits:
Fee equal to one basic visit or one overnight if service is canceled less than 48 hours in advance.
50% of reserved pet sits if pet sits are scheduled the week of a major holiday and canceled less than 14 days prior to that holiday.
Returning Early:
24 hours notice is required to cancel the remainder of sits without a fee of one basic visit.
Returning Early (Assignment includes a holiday):
When assignments include a holiday, 1 week notice is required to avoid incurring a fee of 50% of the remainder of sits.
Should I tip my sitter and if so, how much?
Pet sitters frequently go “above & beyond” the call of duty. While sitters do appreciate tips, it isn’t absolutely necessary.
If you were provided with great service and would like to tip your pet sitter, any amount is appreciated and 10-20% is customary.
